Snare build-ups in one note. Hold a key and Snareo plays a roll locked to your tempo that speeds up, gets louder, climbs in pitch and opens the filter, then stops dead for the drop.

What it does

The whole roll, shaped for you

Draw one MIDI note where the build-up starts. Everything else follows the timeline, and every control can be automated.

Roll

1 to 16 bars, from 1/2 notes up to 1/64 (triplets too). Double up on the beat in steps or speed up smoothly, with curve, swing, humanize and a drop gap of silence before the drop.

Dynamics

Velocity rises with its own curve, accents land on the beat, pitch climbs up to two octaves, hits tighten and spread wider towards the end.

Snare

Six built-in snares (house, tight, clap, rim, noise, deep) with tune, body, snap, decay and colour. Layer your own sample on top.

Sample library

Drop a sample on Snareo and it is saved in your library for good, ready in every project, even if the original file moves.

Filter, drive & space

Low-, high- or band-pass sweep across the build-up, drive and bitcrush, tempo-synced ping-pong delay and reverb. FX Rise opens the delay and reverb up as you approach the drop.

LFO

Six shapes, synced or free, two targets at once (filter, volume, pan, pitch, reverb, delay, drive). Rise speeds it up to 4x into the drop: chopped gates and filter wobbles in seconds.

Presets

Twelve starting points (snare, clap, rim and noise rises) and one-click saving of your own.

Drag audio

Drag the build-up straight onto an audio track as a WAV, rendered at your project tempo.

Demo

The Snare Rise 1 preset at 124 BPM, straight out of Snareo with no other processing: four bars from quarter notes to 1/32s, with the high-pass, pitch and reverb rising, then the tail.

Try this: draw an 8-bar note before your drop, set Length to 8 bars and Drop Gap to 1/4. For a choppy gate, set LFO Target A to Volume with the Square shape and turn up Rise.
